New EU Cross-Border Rules Explained

Consumers are used to being charged expensive fees whenever they make payments or send money abroad; however, that could change with new legislation proposed by the European Commision in March. EU lawmakers have set out reduced charges for cross-border payments in non-euro countries and improved transparency of currency conversion. 

This video looks to explain what the proposed EU cross-border rules are and how they will affect both consumers and payments organisations moving forward, as well as what will happen in the interim period before the proposed implementation of the changes in 2019.
