US: Government Accountability Office Issues Fintech Report

In March 2018 the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) published a report titled "Financial Technology: Additional Steps by Regulators Could Better Protect Consumers and Aid Regulatory Oversight".

For this report, the GAO reviewed available data, literature, agency documents; analysed relevant laws and regulations; and conducted interviews with more than 120 federal and state regulators, market participants, and observers, and regulators in four countries with active fintech sectors and varying regulatory approaches.
