UK's FCA and Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong to Cooperate on Fintech

On May 12, 2017 the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) agreed a cooperation agreement with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong to foster collaboration in support of financial technology (fintech) innovation.

The purpose of this cooperation agreement is to allow information sharing and referrals of innovative firms looking to enter each market. It also sets out how the authorities plan to share and use information on innovation in their respective markets.
