UK: Government Publishes Data Protection Notice and Guidance in No-Deal Scenario

On December 13, 2018, the UK government published a guidance notice clarifying what will be expected from UK organisations in the context of amendments to be brought about in the data protection legal framework, in case there is no agreement in place on the day that the country leaves the European Union in March 2019.

Building upon a prior notice issued in September 2018, this notice provides further explanations and information on the way the data protection law will be shaped and applied in what the government has described as the "unlikely" event of a no-deal Brexit.
