On February 25, 2019, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen – FSA) notified the European Banking Authority (EBA) that it intends to fully comply with, and apply within the national territory, the EBA guidelines on the conditions that banks, also known as account servicing payment service providers (ASPSPs) under the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2), must meet to avail themselves of the exemption provided for in Article 33(6) of the regulatory technical standards on strong customer authentication.
