Sri Lanka: FIU Issues Guidelines on Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risk Management for Financial Institutions

On January 11, 2018 the Financial Intelligence Unit at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka published Guidelines on Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing Risk Management for Financial Institutions, No. 01 of 2018.

The guidelines will come into force with immediate effect and should be read together with the Financial Transactions Reporting Act, No. 06 of 2006 and the Financial Institutions (Customer Due Diligence) Rules, No.01 of 2016.
