Romania: National Bank Consults on Regulations on Preventing and Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing

On May 21, 2019, the National Bank of Romania (NBR) published a consultation on draft regulations on preventing and combating money laundering and terrorism financing.

The document aims to implement recommendations and measures of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) outlined in the action plan for Romania, approved at the 44th MONEYVAL plenary meeting on April 3-4, 2014, as well as amending and supplementing other acts and Article 48 of the Law no. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania.
