Poland: Government Consults on Draft Regulation Regarding Payments to Cover Supervision Costs of Small Payment Institutions

On April 18, 2019, the Polish government published a consultation paper on draft regulation regarding payments to cover the supervision costs of small payment institutions, with the aim of determining the method of calculating payments for supervisory costs for the benefit of the Financial Supervision Authority.

The proposed regulation sets the rate at the level of the maximum legal limit, i.e., 0.025 percent. The amount of supervision costs to be paid by small payment institutions will be calculated on annual turnover related to the provision of the services and according to the formula provided in the draft regulation.
