Norway: Financial Supervisory Authority Publishes Report on Risk and Vulnerability Analysis 2018

On May 9, 2019, the Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) published a risk and vulnerability analysis report on the financial sector's use of information and communications technology (ICT) in 2018. The analysis report is carried out annually with the objective of gaining better insight into financial companies' use of ICT, payment solutions and information on relevant risk areas.

Overall, the assessment revealed that the financial infrastructure in the country is robust. The supervisory authority identified that the ICT security of these entities has certain vulnerabilities which would make them prone to serious incidents and recommended that they establish measures to prevent such risk.
