Monaco: Blockchain Bill Adopted in Public Session

The National Council of Monaco has published Law Proposition No. 237 relating to blockchain, which aims to promote the activity of blockchain and introduce a three-year experiment in which participants will not impose additional constraints on technical regulations.

The text, which is composed of 13 articles, creates the Monégasque Authority of Blockchains (AMB), which will be in charge of supervising and monitoring the three-year experiment and the outcomes. The AMB will comprise representatives of the government, companies, associations and unions involved in the digital sector, as well as academic figures and recognised practitioners in this area.
