Mexico: Central Bank Amends Global Code of Conduct for Operations in Foreign Currencies

On January 14, 2019, the central bank of Mexico, Banxico, published Circular 1/2019, which amends Annex 1 of the rules applicable to the reporting of participants to the central bank regarding adherence to the Global Code of Conduct in the execution of foreign exchange transactions.

The rules related to compliance with the Global Code of Conduct are contained in Circular 22/2017, which was published on October 11, 2017. The text of Annex 1 has been amended to conform with the terms of the Global Code of Conduct updated by the Global Foreign Exchange Committee (GFXC).
