On January 31, 2019, the Central Bank of Mauritius issued a notice on its official web page presenting the National Payment Systems Act 2018 (NPS Act, Act No. 17 of 2018). The main aim of the act is to provide regulation of, as well as oversight and supervision of, payment systems operating in Mauritius.
