Lithuania: State Data Protection Inspectorate Launches Public Consultation on Data Security Measures

On August 9, 2019, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (SDPI) launched a public consultation on proposed “Guidelines for Personal Data Security Measures and Risk Assessment for Controllers and Processors”. 

The proposed guidelines have been developed by the SDPI to assist data controllers with performing duties under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - GDPR), the ENISA Recommendations Handbook on Security of Personal Data Processing (published on January 29, 2018) and various ISO Standards on Information Technology Methods and Information Security Management.
