On August 1, 2019, the Bank of Lithuania announced in a press release the publication of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Article IV Consultation with the Republic of Lithuania. The publication includes a press release on the subject, a summary of the IMF Executive Board’s assessment of the report made by staff following their mission in Lithuania, and the report itself.
The Executive Board concluded its consultation with an endorsement of the conclusions found in the staff report. Several conclusions were made with regard to the stability of Lithuania’s economy, as well as the strength of the country’s economic development and policies following a series of discussions between IMF staff and relevant Lithuanian government officials, including:
