Lithuania and Kazakhstan Authorities Sign Fintech Collaboration Agreement

On November 8, 2018, during the Fintech Conference taking place in Vilnius, the Bank of Lithuania, the country's central bank, and the Astana Financial Services Authority (Kazakhstan) announced that they had signed a fintech cooperation agreement.

The cooperation agreement is aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the two institutions by allowing them to provide guidance and consultation on financial regulatory issues to businesses interested in creating innovative financial products and services for consumers in both countries. Based on their enhanced collaboration, the two regulators will also be able to exchange best practices and their own experiences.
