Ireland: Data Protection Commissioner Launches Public Consultation on GDPR

On March 16, 2017, the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, the Irish data protection authority, initiated a public consultation on four key concepts of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): consent; profiling; personal data breach notifications; and certification. 

Submissions received will be supplied to the presidency team of the Article 29 Working Party for consideration in the preparation of guidance on these concepts.
