On August 12, 2019, the Greek Ministry of Justice launched a public consultation on the draft law implementing the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into the national legal order.
By means of the same draft law, the country aims to transpose the Law Enforcement Directive (Directive 2016/680).
The present draft law differs from the draft law that was initially released for open consultation in February 2018, which was never introduced before the Greek parliament for vote.
