On December 10, 2018, the European Commission announced that it reached a political agreement with the European Parliament and the European Council on the Cybersecurity Act. The act forms part of a wide-ranging set of measures introduced in September 2017. Other relevant measures include the proposal of a directive on combating fraud and counterfeiting of non-cash means of payments.
