On November 24, 2017, the Estonian Ministry of Justice published a draft law on the processing of personal data. The aim of the bill is to transpose (EU) 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into national legislation, while remaining aligned with Directive 2016/680, also known as the Law Enforcement Directive.
