EBA Launches Consultation on Draft ICT and Security Risk Management Guidelines

On December 13, 2018, the European Banking Authority (EBA) released a consultation seeking feedback in relation to its draft guidelines on information and communication technology (ICT) and security risk management.

By means of these guidelines, the EBA wishes to support financial institutions, such as credit institutions, investments firms and payment service providers (PSPs), so that they will be able to increase the level of their resilience against all ICT-related risks, including cyberattacks, and threats arising either externally or internally due to their augmentative reliance on ICT infrastructures for their operational functioning in recent years.
