Denmark: Government Reveals National Cyber and Information Security Strategy 2018-2021

On May 15, 2018, the Ministry of Finance launched a new cyber and information security strategy for the upcoming years. The strategy is tied up with, and builds further upon, the 2018-2023 Defence Agreements, which reinforce measures to protect the country against cyber threats.

As technological developments are currently accelerating in the country and an ever-increasing number of businesses, public authorities and citizens are becoming dependent on the internet, and on the opportunities it offers, the government recognises the importance of a national strategy ensuring that “exchange of data and information takes place in a responsible and secure manner which respects the privacy of individuals”.
