Czech Republic: MONEYVAL Releases Fifth Mutual Evaluation Report – December 2018

On February 11, 2019, the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL) published the fifth round mutual evaluation report (MER) of the Czech Republic, which assesses the country's levels of compliance with the international standards and practices established by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), while providing certain recommendations on improving and strengthening its anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) system.

As stated in the report, the Czech Republic has taken significant steps to improve its AML/CTF system, including legislative reform and the establishment of public bodies responsible for supporting the prevention of financial crime.
