Australia: ACCC Seeks Feedback from Potential Data Recipients for CDR Testing and Accreditation

On August 23, 2019, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) launched testing in which firms are able to express their interest in becoming accredited data recipients under the Consumer Data Right (CDR) from February 2020. 

The announcement follows the adoption of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Consumer Data Right) Bill 2019, which establishes a new CDR framework that enables consumers to have more control over their data and effectively use it for their own benefit. More information is available here
