U.S. Crypto Expert Accused Of Helping North Korea Evade Sanctions

An Ethereum Foundation employee has been arrested by U.S. authorities for allegedly teaching attendees of a conference in North Korea how to use cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to evade economic sanctions.

The employee, Virgil Griffith, was arrested late last week at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with a trip he made to Pyongyang in April 2019 to give a presentation at a conference dedicated to cryptocurrency and blockchain.
