UK Tells Firms To Improve Communications As SCA Delay Confirmed

The UK’s financial regulator has revealed details about its preparations for new EU rules on secure customer authentication (SCA) — confirming that the September deadline will have to be swept aside to avoid a situation where “virtually no-one can make payments”.

A “roadmap” to be drawn up by UK Finance, the financial industry representative group, will also include a plan for communicating the incoming changes to consumers and merchants, a senior regulator in the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said.
