Swedbank Faces Up To Money Laundering Failings

Swedbank has acknowledged failings in its responsibility to prevent financial crime in a letter to regulators in Sweden and Estonia, promising improvements before an internal review of the institution is completed next year.

The Nordic bank admitted that its anti-money laundering (AML) processes have historically contained weaknesses, in line with the initial findings of those authorities in February this year.
