Regulator Tells Industry To ‘Speed Up’ Brexit Planning

EU authorities have urged financial institutions to “speed up their preparations” for Brexit, instructing them to communicate contingency plans to customers by the end of 2018.

An opinion published this morning by the European Banking Authority (EBA), which oversees the union’s banking and payments sectors, said there are signs that financial firms are holding back on putting Brexit plans into action.
