The Netherlands’ transposition of the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) faces longer delays after the country’s data protection regulator reignited its fight to gain authority over consent rules.
The Dutch government had already confirmed that transposition of the EU directive was unlikely to be completed until June, but fresh arguments raised by the Data Protection Authority (DPA) could push the legislative process back by a number of months.
