Online Gaming Advocate Urges Settlement After DOJ Appeals Wire Act Decision

The online gaming industry appears to have the upper hand in its battle with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) over the U.S. Wire Act of 1961, but a leading gaming attorney in Washington, D.C. says it is time to make a deal.

“The problem and my concern about this whole thing has always been, ‘How are the banks and payment processors going to respond and are they going to become so concerned that they essentially pull the plug?’” said Jeff Ifrah, a founding member of the online gaming trade association, iDevelopment and Economic Association.
