Nordic Duo Issue Details On SCA Transition Period

Authorities in Denmark have confirmed enforcement of strong customer authentication (SCA) rules will be delayed by 18 months, while neighbouring Sweden has also confirmed it will be flexible around this month’s deadline.

Since the European Banking Authority (EBA) published its June opinion acknowledging the widespread need for enforcement of SCA to be pushed back, a steady stream of member state authorities have made their own statements on the issue.
