Palestinian militant organisation Hamas has urged its followers to donate funds anonymously using global virtual currency exchange platforms, doubling down on efforts to boost its coffers using cryptocurrencies.
In early February, researchers said Hamas had been able to raise some $3,500 by soliciting for donations through its social media channels.
In a video released on Sunday and seen by PaymentsCompliance, the group’s US-sanctioned military wing, the Al Qassam Brigades, issued detailed instructions to supporters on how to make donations undetected.
