French Banks Pushed On API Testing As Authorities Set Out Deadlines

Banks in France will need to begin testing application programming interfaces (API) for third-party access within the next two weeks or face having to build a second fallback mechanism, regulators have warned.

Following discussions with members of a newly established cross-industry working group, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published extensive information on Monday on the expectations that national authorities have for the process of API approval.
