France Eyes Shorter SCA Transition After European Pressure

France’s central bank could drop its plans for an extended delay to strong authentication reforms, as indications emerge it is likely to fall in line with an EU-wide transition period of 15 months.

The Banque de France announced in July it would postpone full enforcement of EU regulatory technical standards until June 2022, although expected the majority of e-commerce transactions to be compliant within 18 months.
