European Regulators Brace For Big Tech Threat As Open Banking Beds In

The Dutch central bank and payments regulator has said authorities are already assessing the risk posed by technology giants from the United States and China, particularly as open banking beds in across Europe.

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) said on Tuesday that it expects Google, Facebook and Apple to seize the opportunity presented by the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) to gain access to customers’ financial data.
