The European Commission has unveiled a list of “priority one” jurisdictions, including the United States, China and Australia, that will be considered next for inclusion on its blacklist of high-risk countries.
The list of 47 countries were selected as a result of their inclusion on an existing EU list of “non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes” or because they were singled out by other bodies such as Europol or the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
