European Authority Clarifies API Testing Confusion

European banks providing application programming interfaces (APIs) must make testing facilities available to third-party providers even if they have not yet received authorisation, regulators have said.

Under regulatory technical standards that accompany the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2), banks must extensively test the APIs they will use to facilitate third-party access in a real-world environment.
