The UK could be moving closer to a single coherent policy on virtual currencies, as the country’s primary financial regulator has announced its intention to investigate the issue and turn out an opinion by the end of September.
In its business plan for the coming year, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced that it would be working alongside HM Treasury and the Bank of England to produce a discussion paper on virtual currencies in Q2 of 2018/19.
