An influential banking stakeholder group has backed the European Banking Authority's (EBA) authority not to declare “redirection” an obstacle to third parties, but admitted its members are divided on how that could work in practice.
The regulator had published guidelines earlier this year in which it sought to clarify a host of remaining issues with its regulatory technical standards on strong customer authentication, giving the industry one last chance to shape the EU’s third-party account access regime.
