Payments bodies in New Zealand and Australia are examining ways to adopt common standards in open banking regimes shaping both jurisdictions, as ambition for closer international cooperation “builds up a head of steam”.
Both Payments NZ and the Australian Payments Network told PaymentsCompliance that they support a joint report by the statutory economic advisory bodies of both countries, which suggests that circumstances are ripe for collaboration between the two countries on open banking.
