A phalanx of data protection regulators from Europe, the United States and further afield have challenged Facebook on its prospective cryptocurrency project Libra, citing serious potential privacy concerns.
Data protection authorities from seven jurisdictions issued a joint statement on Monday expressing concern about the lack of a clear policy on data protection from Calibra, the entity set up to manage Libra.
