The UK’s data protection regulator has vowed not to relax enforcement action against EU firms operating in the country after Brexit, outlining plans to continue working closely with counterparts on the continent and further afield.
The UK is due to exit the union in March next year, with a transition period likely until the end of 2020; however, the deadline for compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is May 25 this year.
