Banking Lobbyists Suggest Third-Party Access Compromise

A consortium of thousands of banks has offered to “compromise” with regulators over third-party access rules, as the EU-wide screen scraping row shows no sign of abating.

Two industry lobby groups representing more than 5,000 cooperative and retail banks have jointly written to the European Banking Authority (EBA) urging it to resist changes to security rules proposed by the European Commission.
