Legal experts have tentatively welcomed the European Banking Authority's (EBA) decision to allow for a risk-based approach to strong authentication under the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2).
The final draft of the authority’s regulatory technical standards on authentication was published on Thursday, and will now be subject to a final review by the European Commission.
